We hope to raise $3,000 to purchase two bullet proof and stab resistant vests for Danville Police  and one vest for the Boyle County Sherrif.

Stop by Heartland on July 19th from 11:00-2:00 for a tail waggin’ good time  and help us celebrate Vest Fest 2008!   The festivities include a silent auction ,bake sale, raffle, adoption animals, inflatable bouncer, pet photo contest, drug dog demonstration, Kentucky State Police attack dog demonstration, microchipping demonstration, and free food!! Don’t miss out, come and help protect our dogs!

HOMEAGAIN MIRCOCHIP

What would you do if your pet got lost, could you: Contact all the shelters and veterinary practices in your area? Provide them all with emergency medical information? Confirm the identity of the pet over the phone-even if the tags are lost? Within minutes create a "lost pet" poster with a recent photo? Mobilize a rescue network wherever you are traveling? One single phone call could do all of this and more. Your veterinarian and HomeAgain partnering together will make this happen. Over 94% of pet's microchipped with HomeAgain have been reunited with their families. What is microchipping? The HomeAgain Mircochip identification system is safe, simple and permanent form of pet identification designed to quickly identify lost pets and reunite them with their owners. Is microchipping safe? No bigger than a grain of rice, the HomeAgain microchip is small, sterile transponder that contains a unique ID code capable of being read by any ISO standard scanner. The microchip's biocompatible material is extremely safe for the animal. The HomeAgain microchip is a passive device. It requires no battery and remains inactive until it is scanned. When should I get this done? Anesthesia is not necessary for implantation. Consider having it done if the pet needs a procedure or a check up . The procedure is quick and relatively pain free. It is recommened for all ages. Please feel free to talk to any of our staff members about HomeAgain today!
